We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our growing Microsoft Azure team. In this role, you'll architect, implement, and manage landing zones and Modern Data Platform Spokes on the Microsoft Azure platform. You'll be responsible for designing resilient, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructures that address our clients' complex business challenges. Working with us will allow you to implement your knowledge and network in the cloud computing space, surrounded by talented professionals who are leaders in Azure architecture and implementation.

Your responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Landing Zones to support Modern Data Platform IaaS, PaaS, and serverless architectures
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager templates, or Bicep
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
• Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Configure and optimize Azure networking solutions, including virtual networks, firewalls, gateways, and load balancers
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency
• Collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps practices
• Work directly with clients to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
• Stay current with emerging Azure technologies and recommend innovative solutions
• Embrace project management aimed towards getting the job done. This will include working with client Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Business/IT Stakeholders
• Be an on- and offline ambassador for the element61 team
